Rep. Larry Liston

Representative Larry Liston is a returning legislator, having served in the State House from 2005 to 2012. In his previous service, Representative Liston served on the House State, Veteran and Military Affairs Committee, the House Local Government and the House Business and Labor Committee. Representative Liston served on the House Business Committee through all four terms, which included two years as the chairman while in the majority and four years as the ranking member while in the minority. While in office, he received many honors from various organizations, including “Legislator of the Year” by the Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce.
Representative Liston has lived in House District 16 for 50 years and is well known throughout the Colorado Springs community. He had a distinguished career with the Royal Bank of Canada for 31 years, before retiring in 2008 as First Vice President of Investments. He is an Eagle Scout and an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Colorado Springs. He has served on numerous boards and commissions, including the Pikes Peak Chapter of the American Red Cross and is an active member of the Downtown Rotary Club of Colorado Springs.
Representative Liston has been married to his lovely wife Mary Ann for 37 years. Their daughter, Katarina Liston-Schutt, lives in Michigan with her husband Chris and daughter Carter. In his spare time, Representative Liston plays golf, tennis and enjoys his cabin in Cuchara, Colorado.
