A resident of Jefferson County since 1978, Rep. Justin Everett is the first person in his family to graduate from college, having earned his B.A. from Chapman University, in Orange, California. Rep. Everett also received his M.B.A. (with emphases in Finance, Entrepreneurship and International Business) from the University of Colorado Denver and his Juris Doctor from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.
Representative Everett runs a small business in Jefferson County that specializes in providing efficient and alternate dispute resolution for small business. He also helps small businesses with pro-bono strategic and financial planning. From 2005 to 2012, he served as the president of the Council of Homeowner’s Organizations for Planned Environment (CO Hope), one of Jefferson County’s oldest community organizations.
He served on the board of the Parents Alliance for Choice in Education and was one of the main spokesmen for Too Taxing for Colorado.
Representative Everett serves on the House Appropriations Committee, the House Education Committee, and the House Public Health and Human Services Committee.
