DelGrosso’s Statement on October Jobs Report

DENVER—Today, the Labor Department released the October employment report showing an increase in the unemployment rate to 7.9 percent, an additional 170,000 unemployed Americans and a reduction in average hourly earnings.

Chairman of the Colorado House Finance Committee Brian DelGrosso, R-Loveland, issued the following statement regarding the report:

“Today’s report is another reminder that President Obama’s tax-and-spend policies continue to strangle our economy. We need to get our economy moving. We have seen report after report showing what we all know – President Obama’s policies are not working. Unemployment is still far too high and there are still 23 million Americans struggling for work. We need to work together to grow small business and help hardworking middle-class Americans find good-paying jobs. We can do better. American families deserve better.”
