Representative Becker attended Morgan Community College and received a B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Organizational Management from Colorado State University. He earned an MBA from Colorado Christian University.
As an entrepreneur, Representative Becker has owned/owns several businesses including a gas station, car washes, an equipment rental company, a car rental company, a car leasing company and rental properties.
Representative Becker has also been an adjuster for Farmers Insurance Group, the Executive Director for Morgan County Economic Development Corporation and he is currently the Vice President of Site Acquisition for Viaero Wireless. Representative Becker also works as an adjunct professor for Morgan Community College teaching business and economics.
Representative Becker has also served as a County Commissioner for Morgan County, overseeing a $31 million budget, 300 employees, two enterprise funds and acted as a day-to-day manager.
Representative Becker has also served on many professional boards that covered a diverse set of subjects including economic development, early childhood development, and the Chamber of Commerce.
Representative Becker has been married to his wife Christal for 17 years and has two boys Grant and J.T. Representative Becker and Cristal live just south of Fort Morgan.
Representative Becker is the ranking member of the House Agriculture, Livestock, and Natural Resources Committee, and also serves on the House Appropriations Committee and the House Transportation and Energy Committee.
